The hosts won three and drew one out of the six matches played across three age-groups and there was some outstanding hockey on display, including in the under-12s which was held for the first time.

‘It’s always fantastic to see our most talented juniors play against teams of the same age an opportunity they don’t get very often on island,’ said Guernsey Hockey development officer Teya Sheppard.

‘Each and every one of them did Guernsey Hockey proud.

‘We’ve improved on the overall results from last year and managed to introduce an U12 fixture into the schedule for the first time too, they all loved putting on a Guernsey shirt for the first time.

‘The future of hockey in Guernsey looks really bright.

‘Thanks must be extended to PwC, our main Youth section sponsor, for their continued support this season. And to Adie Peacegood and Alexander Burne, PwC representatives, who joined us on the day for trophy presentations.’
