Ali Merrien made it back-to-back victories in Section B of her individual event with a convincing win over Boikhutso Mooketsi.
The Botswana competitor took a single on the first end of their match, but the Sarnian star was quickly into her stride, taking the first set 6-3 before exerting her superiority in the second set, winning it 13-3 including two counts of three and a full-house.
Merrien is top of her six-strong section, though all of the top three have won their opening two contests including Singapore’s Serena Tiong who she faces this afternoon.
Ian Merrien and Jason Greenslade also made it two wins from two in the men’s pairs with a comfortable 9-1, 13-2 triumph over Tifaga Tupuiliu and Keith Papani from Niue.
The Guernsey duo top Section A, level on points with Malaysia, and face Wales this morning.
