A patched-up Green Lions side endured a night to forget as Lingfield ran out 5-1 winners at AFC Whyteleafe’s Church Road ground.
After Ross Allen had an early goal ruled out for offside, the hosts quickly took control and were 3-0 up by half-time as Yusuf McGregor put them ahead before Kwesi Ntim netted a first-half brace.
Lingfield maintained the momentum after the turnaround with Kristian Belousas adding a fourth before Rewan Alyasi converted a penalty to make it five.
Brandon Wallace grabbed an injury-time consolation for GFC, who are back in action on Saturday when they host Eastbourne United at Victoria Park.
