Calls for Sark Shipping financial investigation
A PROBE into Sark Shipping's financial management has been called for by an island pressure group.

But Sark senior administrator Kath Jones has responded by saying that every year detailed accounts of the company's activities are published in line with a memorandum of understanding between IOSS and Chief Pleas and that this year the publication is expected before Easter.
The inquiry request in a letter to conseillers from Sark Action for Families and Employment (Safe) follows Chief Pleas approval of a £200,000 loan to the company to resolve cashflow issues.
Safe has asked politicians to examine the company's staffing costs, overheads and a 'seeming reluctance' to consider a shipping route to France.
