The toiletries and cosmetics shop was opened in 1911 by Cecil Stonelake. It is now run by his great-grandson, Dave Herschel, and his wife, Alex. The building in Smith Street is still owned by Mr Herschel's great-aunt, but it needs extensive refurbishment.

Mr Herschel said they decided it was time to find a new site and last week they opened in the former Woodies shop in Commercial Arcade.
