And former Grammar School student Natalie Grainger, 28, is hoping islanders will get behind her and vote in the defence category.
The awards celebrate individual females, across a variety of sectors, who represent the leaders and role models of tomorrow.
Miss Grainger, who pilots a Merlin MK3 Commando Helicopter, has been in the Royal Navy for eight and a half years and has been part of the Commando Helicopter Force for four and a half years.
