Ravenscroft co-founder tells why he has quit the board

ANDY STEWART, co-founder of the Ravenscroft wealth management business, has stepped down from its board after eight years and, in all, more than a decade of involvement with the company.

Andy Stewart has stepped down from the board of wealth management company Ravenscroft because he no longer wants to be dictated to by his corporate diary, but he remains committed to a company in which he is the third-largest shareholder.

Mr Stewart’s departure from the company was curtly announced in a statement on the website of The International Stock Exchange, where Ravenscroft is listed, but he told the Guernsey Press exclusively that the move simply arose from his desire not to be dictated to by a corporate calendar.

Mr Stewart splits his time between Guernsey and Barbados, where he owns three successful restaurants.

But his corporate commitments with Ravenscroft have meant that he has been travelling between the two regularly, often having to change flights or flying at inconvenient times.

‘I didn’t want to be locked down to statutory diary dates and board meetings any more,’ he said.
