Swimarathon reaches the finish line in bumper year

A PROJECT to renovate the children’s section at the Guille-Alles Library will benefit from around £25,000 as a result of the 2017 Skipton Swimarathon, which finished yesterday.

More than £50,000 was raised by nearly 2,000 people, who swam more than 700km over the four days.

The Lions Club of Guernsey and the Guernsey Round Table’s jointly run event celebrated its 40th anniversary last year.
