Investec executive director Shaun Lacey and his wife Ellie, a senior buyer at 7dayshop.com, aim to raise £15,000.

‘My wife is Brazilian and we travel there frequently. We’re both practising Christians and through Shiloh Church we both had a calling to do something.’ said Mr Lacey.

‘We visited the orphanage earlier in April, and will do so again in November, and have pledged to raise money for them.

‘These children are mostly orphaned, homeless, abandoned or neglected when they are sent to the shelter.’
