No titles, but medals for Britain in Bloom entrants

NEITHER St Peter Port nor Sark was able to claim a Britain in Bloom title at the awards ceremony yesterday, but both received medals.

St Peter Port was runner-up to the Lancashire village of Elswick in the Champion of Champions competition, but received a gold medal for the 'exceptionally high standard' of its entry.

Sark was awarded a silver gilt in the Village category with the judges praising the community initiatives and sustainable planting.
