Crown Court hearing for man behind GcMaf
BUSINESSMAN David Noakes will appear before Southwark Crown Court today facing charges of possessing unauthorised medicinal products and manufacturing an unlicensed medicine.
The 64-year-old formerly lived in Guernsey and his company, Immuno Biotech Ltd, was based in a St Peter Port office.
The case centres around a number of products produced by Immuno Biotech, including ActiveGoleic and FirstimmuneGcMAF.
Mr Noakes has been charged with entering into an arrangement to acquire or control stolen money, as well as two counts of possessing an unauthorised medicinal product, which he knew was going to be sold or supplied to another person in Europe, two counts of marketing a medicinal product without the correct authorisation and two counts of manufacturing an unlicensed medicine.
Today’s hearing is a pre-trial review, with the full case expected to be heard next year.
In Guernsey, two people living locally are also facing charges in connection with the company.
