Lottie Barnes, Health & Social Care’s culture, arts, and health manager, said they had been working with the tenants for three months to try and help build a community within Le Grand Courtil.
‘The tenants are fundamentally in charge of what we do and how we do it,’ she said.
‘There has been a team working with them – there’s been a photographer, and they’ve also been working with a life coach.’
Anne Coutanche was one of those who got their hands on the VR hardware made by Taiwanese tech giants HTC.
She immersed herself in underwater world replete with swimming fish and coral which reacts to your ‘touch’.
‘I found it very good – it was like I expected, but not frightening at all,’ she said.
