A Guernsey Gas spokesman said work on the road from the Halfway to Delancey Lane was on schedule.
‘Work on the road will be completed on Friday,’ the spokesman said.
‘The time itself is dependent on site conditions, but it is on track.’
The section of road was shut while Guernsey Gas connected homes to a new main which was laid during the last closure of the road, when Guernsey Water upgraded the waste water system, though due to the phasing of those works it was not possible to carry out the individual service connections at the same time and this is what is being completed.
Bus route 21 will be back up and running once the road is reopened, following its suspension due to the work.
