A spokesperson for the Health Department said: 'We have had confirmation that the patient who was tested for possible coronavirus last week has had their test results back as negative.'
The patient had recently returned to Jersey from a country affected by coronavirus and was quarantined.
Coronavirus has now killed more than 800 people - the vast majority in mainland China - and infected 34,800 others.
