Peter Mehtab’s family are from Guernsey and he visits the island regularly and performs his world-renowned magic at local venues.

On Saturday, he will perform at an NHS fundraising event live over Zoom, doing close-up magic.

‘I will also be interacting with the audience live and involving participants,’ he said. ‘This concept has never been done before.

‘As a very experienced global entertainer, with restaurants closed, hotels and the travel industry almost shut down during these uncertain times, we are so much looking forward to entertaining those who are in lockdown and hope to create a magnificent live entertaining experience that they can even participate in.’

The event, the Virtual Hilarity Party, starts at 5.30pm and lasts for 45 minutes.

Special guests include Joe Stilgoe, jazz singer and pianist, Sharky and George, party entertainers, and comedy compere Tom Durant-Pritchard (AKA Prince Harry in The Windsors), with the event organised by Consider it Done.

. Tickets cost £5 and can be bought via Eventbrite, https://bit.ly/2WfXuJd.
