Aurigny has cancelled its summer flight schedule.

The airline will continue to offer its lifeline services to Alderney and Southampton.

But with the current lockdown still in place, the airline has decided to cancel all other flights.

Passengers with bookings will be contacted to find out their options.

'As ever, Aurigny’s main priority is the wellbeing of its customers and staff,' an airline spokesperson said.

'We would especially like to thank those staff working in our call centre who have dealt with an unprecedented number of calls due to exceptional circumstances and are working through these changes with our customers.'

Only essential travel is currently allowed to take place and anyone arriving into the Bailiwick has to self-isolate for 14 days.

On weekdays there is currently one rotation a day between Guernsey and Southampton and two rotations between Guernsey and Alderney.
