Green Hut a casualty of the pandemic
THE Green Hut, the popular takeaway in St Martin’s, has been put up for sale after the couple who owned it said they would be unable to reopen.
Clint McGrath and his partner, Sarah Barsby, took on the business in 2018. However, it has been forced to stay closed since lockdown started in March. Now it is up for sale.
In a social media post, they said it was with a heavy heart that they had to tell customers that the business would not reopen.
‘We have been a casualty of this war and can’t continue,’ said Mr McGrath.
‘Sarah and myself would like to thank you all for your support. We loved cooking for you all and have no regrets in giving this a go and we did the best that we could do.’
The 250sq. ft site on Grande Rue is being marketed for offers over £225,000.
The current owners said they hope that whoever bought it would be able to bring it back to life.
