Aurigny to operate two return flights to Manchester
AURIGNY is putting on two return flights to Manchester at the beginning of September - and more could follow if they prove successful.
The announcement of the flights follows the results of a student survey undertaken by the airline and customer demand gauged via social media.
The new Northern connection from Guernsey is not just for students and is available for anyone to book on the Aurigny website, says the airline.
The news also comes after the Guernsey Press today reported that an announcement on such potential services operating would be made shortly.
The service will allows students going or returning to university in the north of the UK to do so. It also presents a further opportunity for anyone wanting to visit friends and family in that part of the UK.
Customers are being reminded that they must take into consideration the period of self-isolation upon arrival into Guernsey when booking.
Any customers who wish to change an existing booking from Southampton to Manchester can do so without having to pay an admin fee, but if the Manchester fare is higher, they will have to pay the difference.
As a further benefit for students. Aurigny is letting students have an additional bag free when they purchase a bag with their flight or book a smart fare - more information is available on the Aurigny website for details.
Should these flights prove successful, Aurigny will consider adding further Manchester flights. Aurigny’s Manchester flights have now moved to Terminal 3 at Manchester.
