They have been working hard, creating all sorts of models, statues and items, using flower pots as a base or inspiration.

They have also created knitted flowers from wool and made paper blooms too.

The infants department of the parish’s primary school has also contributed, colouring in flowers to help decorate the church.

All donations are welcome, which go towards the church, and a tombola, quiz and gift shop are also running across the weekend.

This is the third year Vale Church has held an event like this, with last year’s theme consisting of anything to do with the sea. The theme changes every year.

Organiser Pauline Bichard said: ‘The idea came from an event in Yorkshire where a flower show was held for a longer period, with all sorts being made out of plant pots.’

Visitors are encouraged throughout the weekend.
