The vessel came in from St Malo and spent about 90 minutes in Guernsey before departing back to France.

The 151-metre ship had already visited St Helier at the end of May. It was the second Brittany Ferries vessel to have visited the Channel Islands in the last few months, after the even larger 157m-long Barfleur, took part in trials on both islands in April.

Brittany Ferries, a shareholder of Condor, has been conducted the trials as part of ‘business continuity plans’, so the boats can come into service should regular vessels be unavailable.

The vessels are much longer than Condor’s conventional vessels.
