St Andrew’s lights display bigger and better than ever
Rue du Monnaie in St Andrew's has been lit up by more than 10,000 multicoloured lights across Mark Brehaut’s property during the Christmas season.

His house and garden has been lighting up the lane since 1 December, with a total of 13,000 Christmas light decorations, including 2,000 lights across the walls of his house.
‘I’ve probably been doing them for about 10 years,’ said Mr Brehaut.
It takes him around four days to set all his lights up and this year around 4,000 more than he has ever done before.

Three trees in the garden have grown enough to hold three different sets of lights.
The lights are always left up until twelfth night, brightening up the place and looking festive.
‘I love Christmas, I wish it would go on for a whole week,’ said Mr Brehaut.

‘I think the three little trees look good.’
Mr Brehaut’s house has always attracted islanders’ attention across the years with cars often slowing down to admire the bright lights.
‘We’ve had people even drive into our drive and take photos,’ he said.
Mr Brehaut said he was always considering new ways to enhance his own winter wonderland.
