From today, visitors will be able to step into a bygone era and experience the nostalgia of Cornet Street.
‘The shop is looking fantastic, we have some lovely new suppliers coming in, some fabulous maps with locations of historical events, food and wildlife around the British Isles, handbags and purses and beautiful Guernsey time,’ said Caro Drake of the National Trust.
‘We have eggs galore, there’s lots of cardboard, tin and chocolate eggs and bunnies ahead of Easter, lots of books and our sweets are all ready to be served, the shop really is looking beautiful.
‘Hauteville House is opening a little bit later this year on 1 May, rather than the beginning of April, so when that opens we look forward to seeing people making the pilgrimage up Cornet Street.’
The shop’s opening hours have changed slightly from previous years.
It is now open 10am until 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 10am until 1pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
