At its debut last year more than 700 people attended the event at Grow, leading to queues forming out of the door, down the car park and back again.
‘It’s not just for kids and it’s not just for adults. It’s not a specific generation, it’s across the board,’ said organiser Steph Porter.
‘We’ve got the giant Bowser and the Mario Kart things and the moving parts with the funfair, and the children like the bright colours.
‘The adults are going to like the intricacy of the moving parts.’
The event’s main attraction are the exhibits, with more than 100,000 bricks to be found within forming the showpieces.
The exhibitions are to be centred around five themes – theme park, vintage gaming, boats, architecture and ‘BrickHeadz’ figurines.
The centrepiece will be a 10x3ft motorised fun fair.
Other confirmed items include the Eiffel Tower, London Bridge and the Colosseum.
The latter is big enough for Mrs Porter’s cat to sleep in.
In the adjoining rooms there will be a building station, a mini-figure building opportunity, a ‘guess how many bricks in the jar’ competition, and a raffle filled with Lego-themed goods, from which all proceeds will be donated to Grow.
More than 200 pre-loved and some rare sets of Lego will also be on sale.
‘We’ve got some quite big collectors over here who sell on,’ said Mrs Porter.
‘It’ll be sets that have either been built once then dismantled and re-boxed.
'Or it could be things that have been retired – items that you can no longer get from Lego, online, or from any shop.
‘It’s great to just be left with a box of Lego.
‘If you don’t have a certain way of thinking, that pile of bricks can’t always make something, so having the instructions helps some people free their imagination.’
The event coincides with an open day at Grow, which will allow people to learn more what the charity.
It will also be running a crafts session for older children throughout the afternoon, and both the hot-food canteen and the Crafty Frog shop will be open, alongside a selection of plants available for purchase.
The free event takes place from noon to 4pm on Saturday 1 November at Grow Ltd.
