It said, in response to a freedom of information request, that it had offered a majority of Guernsey-based Agilisys staff a job within the States following the termination of the 10-year £200m. contract with Agilisys earlier this year.
It has also facilitated contact between Agilisys staff and vendors in the new IT delivery model, so that further opportunities for employment could be explored.
The Policy & Resources Committee said: ‘The States’ recruitment priority is always seeking the best candidate for the role, with relevant background and proven experience able to be validated.
‘Agilisys being a previous employer is not a barrier to candidates seeking roles in the States, as evidenced by the number of former Agilisys staff offered roles within the States.
‘The States of Guernsey prioritises working collaboratively with the most suitable supplier for its operational requirements. Supplier selection and engagement is based solely on performance and value, and, consistent with previous answers, does not take into account any prior employment relationships.’
