The event saw over 1,700 swimmers, volunteers and supporters participate over the course of five days, raising £68,500 for the fundraisers’s beneficiaries and surpassing last year’s figure.

‘To raise nearly £70,000 is a phenomenal achievement,’ said Charlotte Dunsterville, chief commercial officer at Skipton International.

‘We’re proud to support an event that makes such a tangible difference to local lives.’

The 2025 event, the 49th in the Swimarathon’s history, primarily raised money for St John Guernsey LBG, though funds were also donated to other local charities.

CEO of St John Guernsey LBG Heather Langlois said, ‘This funding will help us expand our first aid education, youth programmes and community services across the island. We’re so grateful to everyone who swam, donated or volunteered. Your support helps us save lives and care for our community.’

Over the last 49 years, the community fundraiser has raised a combined total of more than £2,000,000 for local causes.
