The price of a local standard stamp up to 100g will increase from 69p to 75p, and the price of a letter to the UK will increase from £1.37 to £1.45.
All Bailiwick and UK parcel rates will continue to be frozen for the second year running and all Europe and International rates are frozen.
‘Although we need to make selective adjustments to some rates to ensure we can maintain a reliable and sustainable postal service for the island, we are pleased to be able to freeze all parcel rates, locally, to the UK, Europe and international destinations,’ said Guernsey Post chief executive Steve Sheridan.
Full details of all rate changes will be available on the Guernsey Post website from 18 March.
Guernsey Post said it had listened to customers and understood the importance of access to reliable, competitively priced tracked options, and confirmed that a new tracked service for UK destinations will launch in the summer.
‘Following valuable customer feedback, we will be introducing a competitively priced tracked service in early summer.
‘This is part of our ongoing commitment to support the full range of customers we serve – from islanders posting everyday items to established business and retail customers and our growing ecommerce community.
‘We expect this new service to be especially helpful for businesses and individuals who sell through platforms such as eBay and Vinted,’ said Mr Sheridan.
