Misplaced decimal points saw the visitor to the Eisteddfod exhibition this week paying 100 times what they should have paid, when £800 was accidentally billed to their card instead of £8.
Eisteddfod Guernsey published a notice on its Facebook page urging the person, who went to the exhibition on Wednesday 11 March, to get in touch. By Saturday morning the Eisteddfod had refunded the person for this overcharge.
‘They were concerned at first but pleased they had realised,’ said Eisteddfod general secretary Barbara Minta. ‘It is a relief indeed.’
Saturday evening saw the final classes of the Eisteddfod take place.
