The items are a collection of manuscripts and printed items, including an account of Irving Brock’s introduction of Huron Indians to George IV.
‘There are some amazing pictures of people who are clearly from the Huron tribe dressed in these incredible suited costumes,’ said Max Hasler, specialist on books and works on paper at Forum Auctions.
‘There are bills, and a few legal documents.
‘It gives a little slice into Guernsey both day-to-day life and also the more dramatic things that are remembered as history now.
‘The items were collected by someone who had a specific interest in Guernsey. I think they formed a bit of a path of research for that and then were put away for a few decades and are now coming back out for someone else to have a look through and see what they can glean from them.’
There are 35 items in the lot, including a satirical cartoon of tourists in Guernsey.
The estimate is between £200 and £300, with a starting bid of £100.
The auction is on Thursday at noon, for more information, go to www.forumauctions.co.uk and Lot 83.
