The Committee for Economic Development created the board three years ago to bridge the gap between industry and government.
Board members aim to build relationships with workers across the sector, and be the industry’s voice – advising States on decision-making for local tourism.
It recently welcomed new co-chairs, Charlie Walker and Clare Crowson. Each have hands-on experience within the industry, and are keen to band together with more like-minded board members.
‘We’re actively seeking enthusiastic industry representatives to join the Tourism Advisory Board at an exciting time,’ said Ms Walker.
‘We’re shaping the future direction of tourism off the back of a very successful 2025.
‘Momentum is building and the outlook is genuinely positive. By working collaboratively across the sectors, sharing insight and ambition, we can strengthen partnerships and ensure continued success for our visitor economy now and in the future.’
The board also oversees the distribution of grant-funding for tourism events and activities and product development.
Anyone interested in joining can send an expression of interest, along with a CV, to TAB@gov.gg by 5pm on Thursday 14 May.
