The development, owned by the Guernsey Housing Association, will provide high-quality, purpose-built accommodation for 14 residents.
It was carefully designed with input from Health & Social Care to support residents with varying levels of need, helping them to live as independently as possible.
‘We are incredibly proud to have worked with HSC to deliver this for the island. It’s really exciting to have people move into a place that has been created just for them, where they can feel supported, build their independence and enjoy a better quality of life,’ said Lisa de Kooker, chief operating officer at GHA.
Deputy Dr George Oswald, Health and Social Care president, said: ‘Projects like La Vieille Plage show what can be achieved when we design services around the needs of the people who rely on them.
'By working closely with the GHA, we’ve been able to create a purpose‑built environment for those with complex needs that enables residents to live more independently, supported by a space that truly works for them.
'I’m grateful to everyone involved for helping deliver something that will make a real difference to people’s lives.’
