The 11-mile walk was led by experienced guide Andy Walker, who said that the walk was more of a hike and is one of the more challenging walks in this year’s programme.
‘There has been one from Jerbourg before, but this one is slightly different,’ he said ahead of the walk.
‘If the weather is like this it will be fabulous, but this one is more of a hike and a bit more walk than talk.’
The walk will start at Jerbourg and end at L’Eree, and will only take place once during the Spring Walking Festival, but Mr Walker will be bringing it back for the Autumn Walking Festival, but this time to run from L’Eree to Jerbourg.
Mr Walker said getting involved with the walks during the festival was a good way for locals and visitors to see more of the island while keeping active.
‘I would say we probably have half locals and half visitors,’ he said.
‘It’s always great because when you have a local on the walk they can point things out that we might not know and give an anecdote.
‘There are a range of walks with shorter walks for those who are less able.’
On Saturday there were also a range of other walks staged, including Defence of the North and the Ghosts of the WWII Mirus Gun Battery.
