Since its launch in 2016, giving.gg – developed by the Association of Guernsey Charities – has helped raise more than £1.5m. for charities. In 2026 annual fundraising reached £270,000, more than 10 times the £21,000 raised in 2016. To mark the anniversary, the platform has been relaunched with a refreshed look and improved functionality.
‘Public donations are a vital income stream for charities, especially smaller organisations and platforms like this help make giving as simple and effective as possible. Looking ahead, there is real opportunity to further enhance the platform, including better integration with local Gift Aid, which can add 25% to eligible donations over £500, making it even more valuable for charities across the islands,’ said Wayne Bulpitt, chairman of the Association of Guernsey Charities.
The platform is free to use for AGC member charities and, unlike other platforms, does not charge an administration fee, helping remove financial barriers and maximising the impact of every donation.
The impact of Giving.gg can be seen in the creativity and success of the campaigns it enables. The Walk for Water Lent Challenge, led by Catholic primary schools in support of the
Eleanor Foundation, raised an impressive £8,000, showing how simple, well-promoted challenge-based fundraising can generate donations.
‘Using giving.gg made the fundraising process so simple and stress-free. Because we didn’t have to worry about collecting and managing money, we were able to focus on what really mattered – helping the children learn more about the Eleanor Foundation and understand how the money they raised would support children and families in Tanzania,’ said Mary Robertshaw, headteacher Notre Dame and St Mary St Michael.
