The meeting will bring together parliamentarians and parliamentary officers from Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man for a programme of discussion, knowledge-sharing and networking.
The meeting will focus on elections and will look at reflections and lessons from 2026 elections in the islands. In addition to the formal programme, delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about Sark’s unique constitutional arrangements, governance structures and community life.
The programme will include presentations by members of Chief Pleas and visits to local venues.
Sark’s Chief Pleas only recently joined the CPA and is welcoming the chance to get more deeply involved.
The island has also welcomed the visit from a tourism perspective.
Delegates attending the meeting will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements, with local establishments benefiting directly from their visit, Chief Pleas said.
It will pay for lunch on both days of the meeting and a guided horse and carriage tour as part of the programme.
‘We are delighted that Sark will be hosting colleagues from across the Crown Dependencies,’ said Chief Pleas Speaker Paul Armorgie.
‘This is an excellent opportunity to showcase our island, strengthen relationships with neighbouring jurisdictions and contribute to important discussions on democratic practice following this year’s elections.’
Both Sark and Alderney will be running elections later this year.
