International Stock Exchange hits record number of listings

The International Stock Exchange has hit a record number of listings again, with almost 4,900 securities now on its books.

Chief executive Cees Vermaas said the growth followed what he called ‘a milestone year’ for the exchange in 2025.

TISE, the Guernsey-headquartered exchange owned by US group Miami International Holdings, listed 442 new securities in the first six months of 2026. That took the total on its Official List to a record 4,861 at 30 June, up 6.6% on the same point last year, when the new owners bought the business.

The total market value of listed securities has also reached a record, climbing 4.7% year-on-year to £813bn.

Chief executive Cees Vermaas said the growth followed what he called ‘a milestone year’ for the exchange in 2025.

‘Although global macro-economic conditions have generated uncertainty across international bond markets over the past six months, our robust performance confirms TISE’s position as a leading European bond listing venue,’ he said.

The exchange listed 125 securities in June alone, an increase of 47.1% on the same month last year.

Bonds continued to drive much of the growth.

TISE listed 72 new high-yield bonds in the first half of the year, a rise of 9.1%, taking the total to 565, while 56 new securitisation bonds brought that category to 650.

The number of private equity debt securities reached 2,090, with 159 listed during the half-year.

TISE also retained its position as the largest market for listed UK real estate investment trusts, with 41 on its list at the end of June, and admitted a further specialist company under its equity rules, taking that total to 27.

The exchange said its issuers were now domiciled in 39 different territories around the world.

UK-based issuers were the largest source of new listings in the first six months at 43.4%, followed by those domiciled in the European Union at 32.4%, and the United States at 5.9%, reflecting the new owners' intention to provide a route into Europe for US companies and listed funds.
