The changes being introduced on Monday will see the cancellation of a handful of routes and changes to timetables and routes for several more.
Bus operator Stagecoach South West said the changes were designed to improve reliability, punctuality and connectivity.
‘We recognise that changes to services and timetables can take a little time to settle in, and we would ask customers to bear with us over the weekend and on Monday as the updated information and schedules are put in place at bus stops,’ said managing director Peter Knight.
‘We encourage customers to check the new timetable before travelling and thank them for their patience and understanding as the new services get under way.’
The changes include better links to the hospital, improved evening services, a revised night bus network, and additional Sunday services in the summer. Schedules on buses.gg and the smartphone app will change from Monday.
