The hosts ran in a dozen tries – split evenly between the two halves – to make it six wins in a row in Women's NC South East South One and nine wins from their last 10 games to rise to second in the table overnight before Sunday's matches saw Worthing, who are Guernsey's last opponents next weekend, reclaimed the position with an away win at New Ash Green.

It was a performance full of power and pace that kept Guernsey on the front foot virtually from first whistle to last, but it spoke volumes for the character of the side that one big defensive effort late on that pushed the visitors backwards from the Guernsey 22 until they were forced into touch on halfway was met with as much satisfaction as any of the tries they scored.

Once again Carly Parrott led the way with four tries while there were two apiece for Fiona Power and Hannah McLellan and one each for Heidi Mahy, Kristine Vavere, Anneka Saunders and Jemma Crouse, who added seven conversions.
