Guernsey came closest in the men's match, but after leading for much of that game they ran out of steam and were left with much to ponder ahead of the Euros in July.
Olly Ward, the man at the head of Guernsey Touch, was far from despondent though and was encouraged by the late senior men's friendly win for the home side and the first half performance of the main men's side, while at the same time recognising that ultimately superior fitness told in the tightest of the three main matches.
'The first half was really good for us, but we let it get away from us in the second and tiredness caught us out a bit,' said Ward.
