Never has a non-Priaulx League team reached the final of the annual competition, but a group of scaffolders hope they can become the first this season.

Guernsey FC players Dave Rihoy, Glyn Dyer, Craig Young, Liam Mahon, Tom Martin and young goalkeeper Jordan Kelly are all in the registered squad, as well as several other Priaulx League regulars.

Some have chosen representing this team over their local club and with other former Muratti players such as Kieran Mahon and Matt Drillot playing, they will be a team most others will want to avoid on Friday.

Unless they get a bye, Formula FC's first match will be in the last-32 stage on the first weekend in January, with the team's player-manager Carl Wallbridge excited by the prospect.

'I would say that we have as good a chance as anybody of winning the competition, but despite having some quality players, we have to gel together quickly,' he said.
