The Guernsey M35 athlete won his 400m heat on Tuesday by striding to a well-measured 50.71sec., the fastest time of the day.
He upped the ante yesterday by winning the second of two semi-finals in an even brisker 50.49.
Garland now has one day’s rest before appearing in tomorrow’s final at 10.12am BST, where he lies third on semi time behind two GB compatriots, one of these being multiple world champion Rick Beardsell.
