North book their place in Stranger Cup semi-finals
NORTHERNERS have booked their place in the Stranger Cup semi-finals – but they face a lengthy wait to discover their last-four opponents.

With Sylvans having already cemented top spot in Group A with a 100% winning record, North just needed to avoid defeat against Rangers on Tuesday night at the KGV to finish in second place and prevent the Island U18s from progressing, which they did with something to spare as they won 4-1.
The chocolate-and-blues took the lead when Danny Hale found the net with a curling free-kick in the seventh minute and Keene Domaille doubled their advantage before half-time after latching onto Chris Le Cheminant’s fine pass down the right-hand side before cutting back into the box and slotting home.
Both North scorers went on to complete a brace apiece after the interval as their second-half goals sandwiched an extraordinary consolation for Rangers scored by Tiago Camera, whose first-time shot hung in the crisp night air for an age before dropping in.
In Group B, the match between Vale Rec and Bels will have to be rearranged once more after it was postponed on Tuesday while the big Rovers against St Martin’s clash is not scheduled until April.
