In the reverse fixture the Green Lions came away with a 6-2 win, but manager Tony Vance has stressed the importance of his side keeping focused on the task in hand this afternoon and for the rest of the season.
‘I mean it’s obviously going to be a very different scenario to last week, but it’s a game we’ve just got to go and win,’ he said.
‘When we played them last time, we had a comfortable game and I thought we were generally good, although we had a rocky period where we lost our way.
'What we’ve got to do is maintain our focus tomorrow and for the rest of the season, because ultimately it’s a real simple scenario, if we win every game, we go up.
'That’s obviously the play-offs I’m suggesting in that, but ultimately we’ve got to keep maximum focus and if we can emulate what we did last week, then nine times out of 10 we should win these games, but I’m also very realistic that we’ve come unstuck.’
The same squad that overcame Haywards Heath last weekend are all available for this afternoon’s game, leaving Vance with a selection headache.
‘Home games allow you that luxury. In addition, we’ve got two or three players who are fighting to get in that squad, which is fantastic.
‘Our starting point is we won 3-1 against the league leaders with the same squad so by simple rights they’re first in the pecking order, but we’ll use the squad, we’ll keep competition and ensure that the people who knock on the door get rewards here and there as well.
‘If we get promoted, it won’t be because of 11 players, that’s for sure, so everyone’s going to play their part hopefully.’
Vance received some good news during the week about long-term absentee Matt Loaring, who is nearly ready to make his return, although this weekend’s game comes too soon to see him in the squad.
‘Probably the best news I’ve had in a long, long time was last night seeing Matt Loaring train full contact. That is an amazing advantage for us going into this run and you know we’re having to actually hold him back now, but it’s great to have him back in the mix,’ he said.
