It follows the approval of a the department's long-awaited road transport strategy last month which has promised a much-improved service which will be free for users for the first year.
'During the past 18 months the Environment Department has invited and received considerable public feedback with regard to the scheduling of the winter and summer public bus services.
'Where possibleand as previous budgetary constraints allowed, these comments have led to further improvements in the scheduling and routing of the buses better to meet the demands and requirements of bus users,' a spokesman said.
'Following the recent approval of an integrated transport strategy with an enhanced bus service very much at its heart, further enhancements will be explored as one of the options of a forthcoming tendering exercise for the bus contract.
'The department is inviting the public to submit any final suggestions or observations in relation to what they consider would represent the ideal frequency, routing and timing of both integrated schools and scheduled bus servicesto better serve the community.'
