The Health and Safety Executive and Environmental Health are among the bodies alerted to claims that a dog died as a result of its injuries.

Dog owner Martyn Queripel said one of his dogs, a Newfoundland called Ebby, had suffered skin damage, after heading into a muddy area, near the Millennium Stone, about a fortnight ago.
He immediately took both his dogs to the sea to wash off the muddy water, but Ebby had a double coat of hair and it did not wash away completely.
Mr Queripel said a few days later he and his wife noticed she was scratching badly and irritated.
