For more than 60 years a pointy-hatted menace has been the good luck charm for the pub on the Route du Longfrie.
But the witch has started to look tired and tatty.
In a few weeks Britain in Bloom judges will be driving through the parish and St Peter's Floral Group committee member Corrina Walker said they suggested a new witch go up.
She said they would point out the new witch to the floral judges.
'It's part of local folklore,' she said.
