Pride of Guernsey: 'My super talented daughter'
AN eight-year-old who had a main role in Gadoc's Les Miserables and coped with her schoolwork while juggling rehearsals, has been nominated for Young Achiever of the Year.
Claudia Wallace, who wants to be a ballerina or actress one day, was nominated for the Butterfield-sponsored award.
The Forest Primary School Year 3 pupil, has also been made an associate with the Young Dancers' Academy in London and will be going there from September for lessons.
'She started 2016 by doing Gadoc's panto, Treasure Island. She then understudied little Cosette while being cast as little Eponine in Gadoc's Les Miserables,' said mum Hayley, who nominated her.
'She took this all in her stride with rehearsals sometimes several times a week.
Ms Wallace said that Claudia also came joint-third out of a huge number of children for her poem in the Eisteddfod. 'She was giving 100% at school along with all her activities which she has loved. I think that she has not only achieved but is super talented.'
