Island legend Matt Le Tissier backs Pride of Guernsey vote
AS VOTING kicks off for the Guernsey Press Pride of Guernsey Awards, football legend Matt Le Tissier has also given his backing to the scheme and urged islanders to cast their votes for who they think deserves a public thank-you.
A proud Guernseyman himself, who is always keen to fly the flag for the island whenever he can and wherever he goes, the former England and Southampton player (pictured) said: 'Everyone who lives in Guernsey knows it has something very special. That is due to its great people and its unique community spirit.
'I am delighted to show my support for the Pride of Guernsey Awards and look forward to finding out who the worthy winners are.'
