The arrival of the 50-seater ATR 42 500, which is on short-term lease from Danish Air Transport, brings the airline's fleet back up to five, said Rob Veron, pictured, with four aircraft running the schedule and one as a spare.

It is expected to be in operation until the end of August/beginning of September, when the airline takes delivery of a new 70-seater ATR 72 500, which will create an additional 60,000 seats per year.

'We have had a difficult month or so and it has been really disappointing for us,' Mr Veron added.

'We had a shocking amount of fog and the problem was compounded by the fact that the aircraft lessor failed to deliver a replacement ATR in May.

'This aircraft now brings our fleet back to where we were and brings our resilience back to normal levels.'
