Latvian Association holds national day celebration
THE Guernsey Latvian Association partied over the weekend to celebrate the country's forthcoming national day on Friday week.

A function at St Martin's Community Centre on Saturday night, attended by 100 people, was followed by a carvery lunch at Les Cotils yesterday which drew a capacity of more than 60 diners.
A Latvian three-piece band, Baltie Laci, drove the 2,600km across Europe to perform.
GLA president and founder Lilita Kruze, said the events were not just about Latvian people but inclusion and friendship.
