Knotweed ‘needs to be dealt with, and quickly’
TACKLING the spread of Japanese knotweed is not being treated seriously, one campaigner has said.

It has been a year since drafting began on legislation to stop the spread of the plant but Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Services said it was still being looked at by the law officers.
There is no end-date for when it might be completed, but campaigner Gerry Tattsersall said something needed to be done.
‘They just don’t seem to accept how serious this is. It needs to be dealt with,’ he said.
