Shops struggle to find bags suitable for Aurigny flights

LOCAL shops have been struggling to find stock that fits Aurigny’s hand baggage size requirements.

The airline will be introducing charges for hold luggage from next month as part of a new pricing structure.

Ahead of that, it has faced criticism from passengers struggling to meet its requirements for carrying bags on board after new size gauges were introduced at airports and more strictly enforced.

Buyer for Creasey’s Peter Le Page said it has always had problems stocking the right product.

Last week it did not have a single piece of luggage left that fitted the dimensions for Aurigny, having exhausted stock from China.

‘I had been using a 50cm case for years and I’ve never had a problem, but all of a sudden they’ve become very stringent.’
